Nicholas Pooran (born 2 October 1995) is a Trinidadian cricketer. He played limited-overs cricket for the West Indies until 2024 and also captained the team for a short time. He plays for Trinidad and Tobago in domestic cricket and represents the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pooran made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022, he became the captain of the West Indies limited-overs team, but stepped down in November 2022. He announced his retirement from international cricket in June 2025.

Born in Kuva, Pooran attended Naparima College in San Fernando and played for the school’s cricket team. He is a left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. He has represented Trinidad and Tobago in several youth tournaments and made his debut for the under-19 team in 2012 at the age of just 16.
In October 2013, Pooran played his first match for the West Indies under-19 team against Bangladesh under-19. He later played as vice-captain and primary wicketkeeper in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup. He scored 303 runs in six matches, including half-centuries against Canada and India. His brilliant innings of 143 against Australia was the highest score of the tournament and a record-breaking innings in under-19 cricket. He previously played domestic One Day International cricket for Trinidad and Tobago. In the 2013 CPL, he joined the Red Steel team at the age of 17 and scored a quick half-century on debut. He made his first-class debut in 2014. After suffering an injury in 2015, he made a strong comeback, scoring his maiden T20I century in 2020 and later captained the Trinidad and Tobago team in the 2022–23 Super50 Cup.
In February 2017, he joined Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh for the 2017 Indian Premier League, but did not play any matches that season. Puran was unsold for ₹50 lakh in the 2018 IPL auction. In December 2018, Kings XI Punjab bought him for ₹4.2 crore in the auction for the 2019 IPL season. Pooran performed very well in IPL 2020, scoring 353 runs in 14 matches. He also hit 25 sixes in that season, which was the fourth most sixes hit by a player. However, in IPL 2021, he scored only 85 runs. In 2025, Pooran had a brilliant season for Lucknow Super Giants, scoring 525 runs for the team. He was a contender for the Orange Cap as the highest run-scorer. He scored four half-centuries and led his team with strong performances.
