Devdutt Padikkal put on a good partnership with Kohli and they added 57 runs for the second wicket in just 24 balls. It’s a brilliant partnership that completely ruins LSG’s bowling plans. Padikkal is out for 10 runs at 66/2.

Kohli steps up and reaches 49. He hits a big shot to complete his fifty but is holed out at long-on off Avesh Khan. He falls one run short of fifty. But by then, RCB need less than 60 runs and have 8 overs to spare. The game is already won.

Rajat Patidare comes in and scores 27 runs off just 13 balls with 3 sixes. Jitesh Sharma scores 23 runs off just 9 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Prince Yadav gets both out in an over but it is too late for LSG. RCB are in complete control.

This is the best ball he has bowled in an IPL match so far. At this rate, Rasik is becoming RCB’s most dangerous weapon this season.

Josh Hazlewood gets the Player of the Match. He takes only 1 wicket but his economy of 5.00 in 4 overs is gold. He also creates pressure from both ends so that Rasik and Bhuvneshwar can attack as they please. Hazlewood also bowls balls that hurt Pant and change the entire course of the match. Sometimes the numbers don’t tell the whole story, and this is one of those times.

Virat Kohli’s 49 off 34 balls is a chase-defining innings. He comes in as an impact substitute and directly attacks the LSG bowlers on the ground. By the time the powerplay ends, he has done half the job. He falls one run short of fifty but leaves RCB in a position where victory is a mere formality.

Krunal Pandya takes his 100th IPL wicket. He dismisses Mitchell Marsh and Abdul Samad in the same over. And Marsh’s wicket becomes a historic moment. 100 IPL wickets is a great milestone and the Chinnaswamy crowd is giving him a wonderful welcome.
