The 2025 Women’s Premier League (WPL) achieved another milestone in Indian women’s cricket. The top three teams on the points table qualified for the playoffs, where the top team directly advanced to the final. On the other hand, the second and third-placed teams clashed in the eliminator to secure the second spot in the grand finale.
Matches were organised in four major venues, Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai (CCI). This was to ensure that fans from different parts of the country got a chance to experience the WPL live.
The 2025 season brought new energy to new venues. The inclusion of Vadodara’s Kotambi Stadium as the host venue proved to be a success. The city loved women’s cricket with great enthusiasm and huge, grand celebrations.
