1. Ellyse Perry

Born in 1992, Ellyse Alexandra Perry is an Australian cricketer and former footballer. She began playing for both the Australian cricket team and the Australian football team at the age of 16. Perry became the first player to score 1,000 runs and take 100 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals. She also holds the record for the highest Test run-scorer by an Australian woman with 213 unbeaten runs. She is the third player to take 150 wickets in women’s ODIs. Her achievements in cricket are immense. She has helped Australia win eight World Cups. She has won 2 WBBLs and 1 WPL.

2. Stephanie Taylor

Born in 1992, Stephanie Roxanne Taylor Oddie is a Jamaican cricketer and former captain of the West Indies women’s team. Since her debut in 2008, she has played over 280 matches for the West Indies.

Born in Jamaica, Taylor joined the national team at the age of 17 and quickly became one of their most important players. In her very first T20 match, she scored 90 runs off 49 balls, her highest T20 score, and helped her team win by a large margin.

During the 2016 Women’s World T20, she became the tournament’s highest run-scorer. Her stellar performance earned her the Player of the Tournament award.

3. Marizanne Kapp

In 2017, she was named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year. The following year, she received a national contract from Cricket South Africa and achieved a major milestone by taking her 100th WODI wicket. She also became the highest run-scorer for South Africa in the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup. Shortly after, she joined the WBBL and became the third South African woman to play 100 WODIs.

She has scored many important runs for her team. She has also performed well in bowling. In 2022, she scored her first century. The West Windies team is empty without her. She is the backbone for her team.

4. Natalie Sciver

Natalie Sciver-Brunt (born 1992) is an English all-rounder who has played in all formats. She was England’s first T20I hat-trick player. She is also known among fans for her “netmag” shot, where she hits the ball with her feet. She has led England several times when Heather Knight was injured. Cyver-Brunt was born in Tokyo and spent her childhood in various countries before studying at Loughborough University.

She progressed through county and academy cricket before joining England in 2013. She was a key player in England’s 2017 World Cup victory and won important honours.

5. Sophie Devine

Sophie Devine (born 1989) is a New Zealand cricketer who once played both cricket and hockey for her country. She later decided to focus solely on cricket. Devine is known for her fearless batting and often plays without a helmet. In 2017, she was named in the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year. In 2020, she became the full-time captain of New Zealand. Devine has scored several record-breaking half-centuries and centuries, including the fastest half-century in women’s T20Is.

6. Deepti Sharma

Born in 1997, Deepti Sharma is an Indian all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls off-spin. She has become one of India’s most reliable players and has played a key role in major tournaments such as the 2025 Women’s World Cup, 2022 Asia Cup and 2022 Asian Games. She first came into the limelight with a brilliant partnership of 188 runs with Poonam Raut and a record opening partnership of 320 runs. Since then, Deepti has been consistently performing well in ODIs, T20Is and domestic cricket. In the WPL, she created history by becoming the first Indian to take a hat-trick and also won the MVP award in 2024.

7. Sasikala Siriwardene

Born in 1985, Sasikala Siriwardene is one of Sri Lanka’s greatest female cricketers. She has captained the national team in ODIs and is the only Sri Lankan woman to score more than 1,000 runs and take more than 100 wickets in ODIs. She also holds the record for being the country’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is. Siriwardene played for Sri Lanka from 2003 to 2020 and was widely seen as the team’s mentor. She led Sri Lanka in two World Cups and several Asia Cup campaigns. After a long and impressive career, she retired in 2020 and became one of Sri Lanka’s most respected players.

8. Suzie Bates

Born in 1987, Suzie Bates is a New Zealand cricketer and former national captain. She plays for the Otago Sparks and the White Ferns. Bates holds the record for the highest score and batting average for New Zealand in women’s T20Is. She won the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award for both ODI and T20I cricket in 2013 and again in 2016.

Bates is also a talented basketball player and represented New Zealand at the 2008 Olympics. In cricket, she has scored several centuries and was at one time the leading run-scorer for New Zealand in both ODI and T20I. She is one of the key players in the team.

Born in 1990, Chamari Athapathu is a leading Sri Lankan women’s cricketer and captain of the national team. She is known for her aggressive batting and holds several national records to her name, including the highest ODI score for Sri Lanka of 178*. She is the only Sri Lankan woman to score multiple ODI centuries. Chamari has led Sri Lanka in the World Cup, Asia Cup and major T20 tournaments. She is the first Sri Lankan woman player to complete 1,000 T20 runs and is the team’s highest run-scorer in both ODIs and T20Is. Her stellar performances have earned her global recognition and several ICC honours.

10. Harmanpreet Kaur

Born in 1989, Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team and is one of India’s most successful players. She is an aggressive batsman, off-spin bowler and the first Indian woman to score a century in WT20Is. Under her leadership, India won the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, multiple Asia Cups and the 2022 Asian Games gold medals. She has scored over 8,000 international runs and set several major records across all formats. Harmanpreet has captained Mumbai Indians in the WPL, winning the title in 2023 and 2025. She has received top honours including the Arjuna Award and Wisden recognition.

11. Heather Knight

Heather Knight (born 1990) is an English cricketer and former captain of the England women’s team. She is a right-handed batsman and off-spin bowler. Knight made her international debut in 2010 and later became captain in 2016. She captained England in the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup and was awarded an OBE for her services to cricket. Knight is the first woman to score fifty runs and take five wickets in a single ODI. She has scored centuries in all three formats of women’s cricket. After nearly nine years as captain, she was removed from the position in 2025.

12. Meg Lanning

Born in 1992, Meg Lanning is an Australian cricketer and former national captain. She captains Victoria and Melbourne Stars in domestic cricket. Lanning holds the record for the most WODI centuries. She is the first Australian to score 2000 runs in Twenty20 Internationals. She made her international debut in 2010 and quickly became a leading batsman. As captain, she has won several world titles, including two World Cups and five T20 World Cups. Lanning has played several record innings and scored long winning runs. Despite dealing with injuries, she has bounced back strongly. She retired from international cricket in November 2023 and remains active in franchise leagues.
