India A Set for Nepal T20 Tour in December as Series Confirmed
The India ‘A’ men’s cricket team is set to tour Nepal in December for a three-match T20 series, all three of which will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
The series was finalised during the ICC Annual Conference in Edinburgh following talks between officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
As per the schedule, the opening T20 match will be played on December 9, with the remaining two matches to be played on December 11 and December 13.
Opportunity for Both Teams
The India ‘A’ team is likely to feature players who have performed well in the IPL and are close to securing a place in the senior T20I team. For Nepal, this series offers a good opportunity to test themselves against quality opponents.
The series is another sign of the growing relationship between the BCCI and the Cricket Association of Nepal. Ahead of last year’s T20 World Cup qualifiers, Nepal trained at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
The team also faced local teams from Gujarat and Baroda in practice matches ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. They later returned to the Centre of Excellence to continue their preparations for the Cricket World Cup League 2 fixtures.

With the relationship between BCCI and CAN continuing to strengthen, this tour could be an important step towards building more regular cricketing exchanges between the two countries.
