India’s upcoming 2026 cricket calendar is still packed. With the white-ball tour of England complete, India have already moved on to their next tasks. The rest of the year’s schedule is also locked in, with a busy schedule across various formats.
India will play all three formats before the year ends, with two overseas tours and two home series, with the Sri Lanka and New Zealand Tests being crucial for the World Test Championship, which will be held after a difficult 2025 in the longest format. Here’s everything scheduled between now and December 2026.

New Zealand Cricket has announced a full-format tour of five T20Is and five ODIs, with the first two T20Is to be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on October 22 and 24, followed by the remaining three matches in Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton. The ODI series will begin in Auckland on November 4, with Wellington, Hamilton and Mount Maunganui hosting the remaining matches until November 15.
Two Tests will be played as part of the WTC 2025-27 cycle. To qualify for their third WTC final, India will need to win at least seven of the remaining nine Tests, two of which will be played on New Zealand pitches. India have not won a Test series in New Zealand since 2009. That drought makes the tour one of the most significant tasks of Shubman Gill’s captaincy.
