Lanka Premier League 2026 Schedule: Full Fixtures, Match Dates & Venues
The 2026 Lanka Premier League, also known as LPL 6, will be the sixth season of the Lanka Premier League (LPL), a Twenty20 franchise cricket competition played in Sri Lanka. The tournament will be organised by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). It is scheduled to begin on 17 July, and the final will be held on 8 August 2026. The five franchise teams will compete in a double round-robin format before the playoffs.
The top four teams at the end of the league stage will advance to the playoffs in Colombo. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be held on 5 August, followed by Qualifier 2 on 7 August and the final on 8 August at the R. Premadasa Stadium. Except for Qualifier 1, all three knockout matches will be played in the evening.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officially announced the schedule for the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League on 18 May 2026. The tournament will begin with the opening ceremony on 17 July 2026, followed by Jaffna Kings taking on Gal Gallants at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo. The competition will conclude with the final on 8 August 2026 at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

Lanka Premier League 2026 Schedule
The opening match will be between Jaffna Kings and Galle Gallants at the SSC Grounds in Colombo. During the league stage, all five franchises will face each other twice, playing a total of 20 league matches from 17 July to 2 August.
After the completion of the league stage, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will consist of Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final. These matches will be held on 5, 7 and 8 August.
