PAK-W Tour of SL-W 2026: Full Schedule, Squads & Match Updates

Pakistan will tour Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series, followed by a three-match T20I series. All matches will be played in Hambantota. The tour is scheduled to run from July 23 to August 4. The ODI series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle.

Pakistan Women

The Pakistan Women’s National Selection Committee has announced a 15-member squad for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. The matches will be played in Hambantota from July 23 to August 4. Fatima Sana will continue as the ODI captain, while Muniba Ali Siddiqui will take charge of the T20I team in Fatima’s absence.

Fatima Sana leads the ODI team and will join The Hundred in England after the ODI series. She became the first Pakistani woman cricketer to play in the competition. In the recently concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales, she took 11 wickets in five matches and also scored 85 runs, including one fifty. Her performance earned her a place in the Team of the Tournament for the 12-team competition.

Muniba Ali has been named the captain of the Pakistan Women’s T20I team. She is serving as captain for the Sri Lanka tour while Fatima Sana is set to play in The Hundred.

Eight changes have been made to the T20I squad from the team that played for Pakistan in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The changes reflect the selectors’ efforts to bring more young players into the national team. Iman Nasir, Humna Bilal, Maham Anis, Momina Riasat, Najiha Alvi, Shawal Zulfiqar, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar have been included. Iman Nasir, Maham Anis and Momina Riasat have not played a T20I yet and could make their international debut during the series.

For the three ODIs, which are also part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, Maham Anis and Saira Jabeen are the two uncapped players. The ODI matches will be played on July 23, 25 and 28.

The Pakistan team will arrive in Sri Lanka on July 20 and will hold training sessions on July 21 and 22 before the series begins.

Sri Lanka Women

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Friday announced a 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Pakistan at home. The games will be played in Hambantota from July 23 to 28. Chamari Athapathu will lead the ODI team for the series, which will count towards the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29.

Sri Lanka have made a number of changes to the squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh in April this year. Kaushini Nutangana, Piyumi Wathala, Malkidara, Bhagika Manthi Nime Kumari and Nidusha Mamdu have been named in the squad for the three-match series.

The 15-member squad includes Vishmir, Anushkandi, Nisha Meepage and Rashmikavandi. The rest of the members are in their own right, with experienced batsman Pathu continuing as captain.

This ODI series will be an international break for both teams after the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England in 2026 and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Wales.

The series is also part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029 cycle. The Puns team is currently second in the points table. Sri Lanka are at the same level and have similar standards, but have a higher net run rate.

Sri Lanka is yet to announce its T20 squad for the upcoming tour.
