Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) reached the final of IPL 2026 with a 92-run win over Gujarat Titans in Dharamshala on Tuesday. RCB captain Rajat Patidar took the lead and scored an unbeaten 93 off just 33 balls. His powerful batting helped RCB post a score of 254/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing a big target, Gujarat Titans lost wickets early in the Powerplay and never recovered in the match. RCB bowlers took complete control and bowled out GT for 162 in 19.3 overs. With this resounding win, RCB stylishly secured their place in the final of IPL 2026.

Rajat Patidar Powers RCB to 254 With Stunning Knock

After losing the toss, the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen attacked from the start and posted a huge score of 254/5. Rajat Patidar plays a brilliant innings and hits the ball all over the field. He gets two early lifelines but quickly takes control of the match. Patidar hit nine sixes and five fours in his explosive innings. RCB batsmen scored 114 runs in the last six overs, including 86 runs in the last five overs, and completely dominated the bowlers.

Rajat Patidar’s 93* Powers RCB Into IPL Final  

Rajat Patidar played one of the best innings in IPL playoff history and took Royal Challengers Bangalore to the final again. He scored an unbeaten 93 off just 33 balls in Dharamshala with five fours and nine huge sixes. Patidar attacked every bowler for Gujarat Titans and scored at a strike rate of 281.82, the highest score of 90 or more runs in an IPL innings.

RCB posted a mammoth score of 254/5, the highest team score ever in an IPL playoff match. Patidar also broke another major record by hitting his 41st six of the season, the most by any captain in the T20 tournament. RCB won the match by 92 runs and reached their second consecutive IPL final under Patidar’s captaincy.

RCB Storm Into IPL 2026 Final After Big Win Over GT  

Defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by 92 runs to book a direct entry into the final of IPL 2026. RCB bowled out GT for just 162 runs, with Jacob Duffy taking three wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasik Dar and Krunal Pandya completed a strong team performance with two wickets each. The big win keeps RCB’s title defence alive, while GT now prepares for Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator.

RCB Crush GT After Early Batting Collapse  

Gujarat Titans need a quick start, but the team loses wickets early in the powerplay. Sai Sudarshan is dismissed in a bizarre manner as his bat slips from his hand and hits the stumps. Captain Shubman Gill also fails to score big, and GT slips to 51/5 in quick time.

Rahul Tewatia played a fighting innings of 68 runs and tried to keep GT in the game. But the target is too high, and GT is all out for 162 runs.

Earlier, Virat Kohli added 43 and Devdutt Padikkal added 30 runs to give Royal Challengers Bangalore a strong start. GT bowlers slowed down the scoring in the middle overs, but Rajat Patidar’s dropped catches hurt the team badly. Patidar made full use of those opportunities and built a vital partnership with Krunal Pandya, who scored 43 runs. RCB finished with a huge total and won the match in impressive style.

Rabada’s Record Gives GT Big Boost Before Qualifier 2  

Kagiso Rabada has once again shown that he is one of the best fast bowlers in IPL history. His strong bowling with the new ball gives Gujarat Titans more confidence ahead of Qualifier 2. GT can now rely on Rabada to put pressure on the batsmen early in the innings and take quick wickets.

At the same time, RCB’s batting looks very dangerous in the playoffs. Rajat Patidar plays fearless cricket, while Virat Kohli continues to score important runs in every match. Their form helps RCB stay calm and strong in big matches.

RCB’s total of 254/5 also becomes one of the highest scores made in an IPL knockout match. This big score sends a strong message to the other teams and gives RCB a mental advantage in the tournament.
